Bubbly crochet edging

Today as promised the edging of the lappity lap blanket. I have given it the name bubbly edging. It`s from a Japanese craft book; Let`s play with color . I bought it at an Etsy shop; pomadour24 . Be warned, I`ve spend many hours there looking at al the lovely craft books before I decided which books I would order. The yarn is from Yvestown and there is a sale until the 5th of july. So hoppity hop to both shops for the book and the yarn. 1. 8 ch (chain) 1. 8 Losse 2. Go 3 stitches back and make a tr/dc (treble UK, double crochet US). Don`t finish the tr/dc leave one loop on the hook, ( there are 2 loops on your hook). 2. Ga 3 steken terug en maak in de 3e steek een stokje. Maak het stokje niet af maar laat 1 lus op de haak (je hebt nu 2 lussen op je haak). 3. Repeat until you have 4 loops on your hook. (3 tr/dc total). 3. Herhaal tot je 4 lussen op je haak hebt. Granny square challenge assembling

A couple of weeks ago I started assembling my granny square blanket. I am going in a very slow pace so I am still working on it but I am almost ready. First lay your squares on the floor to make a combination you like. Make a stack of each row of squares, guard with your life so no one messes them up. There are many ways to join, look here for suggestions. I joined the squares with double crochet (UK)/ single crochet (US). We did this before in week 7, look here for video instruction. First I joined all the squares horizontal then vertical. Next step will be the border, I hope I am able to speed up a little so we can finish the blanket and snuggle underneath it.

Crochet bag with hearts tutorial

This bag is a combination of two patterns. I like to combine patterns and ideas to come up with something new. You`ll need: *yarn, cotton. I forgot to write down how much I used but I`m guessing I used 200 gram grey and 100 gram red. *crochet hook, I used 4 mm *fabric, depends on the size of the bag but you don`t need much *sewing thread *sewing machine This is what you`ll need to crochet. A front and back and the sides/strap. You also need to cut this in fabric. 1. Crochet a front and back with the pattern from Mary Ann Frits here in English and here in Dutch. I started with 64 ch. Edging, start with a 1 ch then sc (US), dc (UK) in every stitch, corners 1 sc, 1 ch, 1 sc, 1 ch, 1sc. The finished measurement is 30 by 34 cm ( approximately 12 by 13,5 inches). If you want you can make them bigger or smaller, adjust your strap if necessary. 2. Crochet your strap which is also the sides of your bag. Make a chain 180 c
